On May 23, the Indian Village Woman’s Garden Club is having its Annual May Outing at the Bayview Yacht Club. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 6:00pm.  A wine, beer and a variety of cocktails will be available at a cash bar*. You may wish to order one of their famous  “Hummers,”** a very adult milkshake invented at the BYC. Drinks may be enjoyed on the waterfront terrace or inside. At 6:30, a BYC member will give a brief tour of the club. You may discover you really do want to be a freshwater sailer.

 

At 7:00pm, dinner will be served in the Mackinac Room which features  a beautiful view of the Detroit River and Belle Isle. The menu choices are Chicken Marsala, Salmon with a bacon lardons leeks sauce, or Mediterranean Quinoa, a healthy vegan and gluten free choice. All dinners come with a green salad, rolls/butter, potatoes, and a green vegetable. A soft drink, coffee or tea is included. Included dessert options are key lime pie, brownie, or strawberry shortcake.

Tickets for the dinner are $40 for members and $45 for non-members.

When purchasing your ticket on Eventbrite, you will see “Other Information”, that is where you mark your choice of entree: salmon, chicken or quinoa. The deadline for purchase is May 22, 2019.

The evening of May 23 is the first Thursday Night Race Series of the season and the club should be lively. The weekly sailing races are a popular event and both the water and the parking lot will be busy. Carpool if possible, please.
