The 2016 Historic Indian Village Home & Garden Tour is a TWO DAY tour in celebration of the successful restoration of its historic streetlight system. The dates are Saturday, June 11, 10:00am to 5:00pm, and Sunday, June 12, 12:30 pm to 5:30pm. You can join us on either Saturday or Sunday or BOTH days to view 8 historic homes, 2 gardens, 3 churches, and 2 schools.

Tickets are available on-line: Purchase H&G Tour Tickets

Advance tickets are $22.50 for one day, $40.50 for both days. This year, we have switched from PayPal to Eventbrite, which will allow us to better communicate tour day details to those that purchase in advance.
As a special incentive for those who plan ahead, these tickets will be provided FEE FREE – no ticket processing or credit card fees will apply to your purchase. It you choose to purchase your tickets on June 11 or 12, the prices are $25 for a single day ticket and $45 for both days. Tickets purchased on June 11 or June 12 are $25 for a single day ticket and $50 for a two day ticket.

The historic overhead streetlights were installed over 100 years ago, circa 1910, and they have recently been beautifully restored. Additionally, the Lighting the Future by Preserving the Past streetlight restoration project has been selected to receive the 2016 Governor’s Award for Historic Preservation. Please come and enjoy the beautiful homes, the neighborhood and the original “Detroit Style” streetlight in all its glory.

The Historic Indian Village Home and Garden Tour is celebrating the 121st anniversary of our elegant, historic neighborhood. This is the tour’s 43rd year. It is the second oldest historic home tour of its kind in Michigan, preceded only by the Marshall Michigan Historic Home Tour.

Want to see the tour for FREE? Volunteer opportunities are available – everything from parking attendant to house docent. Volunteers can attend the tour for free and are invited to the Worker’s Party Saturday evening. This is a great opportunity to get a group of friends together, volunteer for a few hours, then party in the garden of a lovely Village home. (Sunday volunteers will have the opportunity to start their tour day with Brunch in a fabulous home.)
