We are honored to have Trish Hubbell, Director of Community and Public Relations at Greening of Detroit, as our speaker. Trish will bring us up to date on many new projects in which the organization is involved. Of special note is the project, working with the city, to plant tens of thousands of trees in two large clusters to show how greening strategies can improve the lives all Detroiters. The tree clusters will near the old Herman Kiefer Hospital and Livernois and McNicols. Other projects include programs to develop urban farms and a distribution of over 80,000 earthworms to improve soil in the city.
