The February meeting was at Kathy’s warm and cozy home. Refreshments including a large chocolate Valentine’s cake, a healthy salad and a collection of other treats. Wine, tea and coffee were served. A brief business meeting started the evening.

Our speaker, Jan Bills owns and operates Two Women and a Hoe™, a boutique landscape company specializing in indoor/outdoor sustainable design, consultation, installation, and garden maintenance.

In 2006, Jan developed her business plan and strategy to exit corporate America to start her business, Two Women and a Hoe®. In 2008, she replaced her corporate high heels with Wellies and never looked back! Today, she is living her dream and mixing business with pleasure.

Jan’s topic was EASY & FUN SUSTAINABLE GARDENING TIPS: Sustainable gardening in Zone 5b/6, a variety of practices that respond to environmental issues. These practices are used in every phase of landscaping including design, implementation, and management. Her emphasis on simple, low maintenance, affordable, and practical principles was greatly enjoyed by members.
